Choosing the right furniture and furnishings for your home can be quite daunting particularly when you are working on a budget but refuse to compromise on the quality of the products you choose for your home. I get it. I have been there many times and also found it daunting which is why I was thrilled to be introduced to Made to Last by it’s co-founder Joel Chudleigh.
Christmas is around the corner (I know I keep saying it but it’s true – panic!) and I’m still struggling to find the perfect gift for both my mother and mother in law. They sure are hard women to buy for and I certainly don’t want to give them something that will be pushed to the back of the cupboard and forgotten about.
I’m not one to put people into boxes but if I was to define my style in three words I think I would probably say simple, comfortable and effortless. So when Jaime contacted me and asked if I would like to review one of their products I was thrilled.
My addiction love of coffee is no secret. In fact I believe it’s probably a well known fact about me so when the lovely people over at Blue Coffee Box asked if I would like to review their luxury coffee subscription I excitedly answered ‘YES, PLEASE!’ How could have I refused right? The coffee machine is my first stop every morning and I can barely string two words together before I have my first coffee. Not any coffee will do either (instant coffee I’m looking right at you). I may not be a coffee connoisseur but I sure am a coffee snob and I love the good stuff.
As you know my kids are little book worms so when I was approached by the Jungle Jam PR team to review Jungle Jam in Brazil I jumped at the opportunity.
If you have followed my blog and Instagram for a while you will know how much I love spending time outdoors (mainly at the beach) with the children so when Lighthouse got in touch and offered to send us some beautiful coats form their new SS17 collection to review we have of course jumped to the opportunity.
I should start this post with a confession. I’m a bit lazy as far as my beauty routine is concerned! There I said it. Please don’t judge it’s just that after a long day running around attending to my kids every need I’m tired and sometimes the last thing I want to do before I crawl into bed is clean my face. But I do. I religiously clean my face in the morning and in the evening to remove impurities and make up and this is for me the most important step in my beauty routine.
The Stockings were hung by the chimney with care in hopes that St Nicholas soon be there.
When I was a teenager, lava lamps were the coolest thing to have and all my friends either had one of desperately wanted one. I never had one so when Mathmos offered to send me their new Neo Lava Lamp I was both excited and a little bit worried that maybe a lava lamp wasn’t really my style anymore. I mean they were super cool in the 80’s and 90’s but not sure how I felt about having one in my 2016 home but then I saw the Neo and fell head over heels for it.
I have some great Christmas memories from when I was a child. Most of them involve food but also decorating the tree with my mother and sister (always on the 1st weekend of December), midnight mass, lots of time spent with my cousins and of course the presents. Which child doesn’t love getting presents?
