It can be hard work looking and feeling good all the time. And let’s face it – spending a lot of time on a beauty routine can be the last thing you want to do in the morning. It doesn’t always have to be that time-consuming. We have come up with some top beauty tips that will have you feeling glam in no time.
Mornings are possibly the busiest time of my daily routine. I need to get up and ready, get the kids up and ready, prepare breakfast, eat breakfast, feed the kids breakfast, get the kids ready, prepare lunch bags…. You get the gist! So, as you can imagine a morning beauty routine is definitely not my priority. However, I still like to look good and hate nothing more than leaving the house looking like death. If this is you too read on for some tips on how you can make your morning beauty routine quicker and more effective.
It’s never too early or too late to develop better habits and my 30’s have been for sure the time I have started to pay more attention to my skin and what I can do to improve its appearance.
We’re all a little bit envious of those people who can wake up looking good. And I’m not talking about going to sleep with a full face of make-up so that you can look glamorous before you’ve even got out of bed – I’m talking about looking good at 9am when you stroll into the office and everyone else has bags under their eyes. I’m talking about looking good even after you’ve finished a long day at work. At the end of the day, it all comes down to good health. Surface-level beauty might last in the short-term, but if you want to look good every day then you should aim to be healthier. That’s how you look good in the long-term. Let’s talk more about improving your health and happiness so that you can both feel better and look better.
After what has felt like one of the longest winters ever, we can finally begin to look forward to spring. As the mornings and evenings get lighter, and the temperatures become warmer, the feeling of new beginnings is difficult to deny.
It’s December and the festive season has officially started. There is the office Christmas party, there is the close friends Christmas party, there is your kids school Christmas party, and of course the girls only Christmas party! I don’t know about you but my head is already spinning trying to figure out what to wear and what to slap on so that I look less like ‘I just need to go to bed’ and more ‘VaVaVoom’.
A fresh glow is something everyone would love to have and there are copious amounts of advise around in how to achieve it. Basically you need to clean your face to remove make up and impurities religiously, drink lots of water, eat well, exercise regularly and sleep like a baby without a care in the world for around 8 hours straight! I don’t know about you but I fail miserably at doing all of the above. Some for lack of time, some because I love crisps, chocolate and wine and the most important of all (sleep) because my kids couldn’t care less about my complexion and God forbid Mummy gets a full night sleep! That is just unheard of around here. So I do the best next thing in order to achieve a fresh glow. I fake it!
I should start this post with a confession. I’m a bit lazy as far as my beauty routine is concerned! There I said it. Please don’t judge it’s just that after a long day running around attending to my kids every need I’m tired and sometimes the last thing I want to do before I crawl into bed is clean my face. But I do. I religiously clean my face in the morning and in the evening to remove impurities and make up and this is for me the most important step in my beauty routine.
If you have kids, you are probably already familiar with the lack of sleep and tiredness associated with being a mum. Tiredness isn’t, of course, what defines motherhood and I much prefer to focus on the amazing moments and happiness the little ones bring to our lives.
There are so many do’s and don’ts to think about when you are pregnant that it’s easy to feel a little bit overwhelmed by it all! By now you have probably stopped eating sushi, drinking alcohol and taking medicine without consulting with your doctor but when it comes to skincare and beauty products, do you really know which products are pregnancy friendly?
