Give your face a fresh glow in less than 5 min

A fresh glow is something everyone would love to have and there are copious amounts of advise around in how to achieve it. Basically you need to clean your face to remove make up and impurities religiously, drink lots of water, eat well, exercise regularly and sleep like a baby without a care in the world for around 8 hours straight! I don’t know about you but I fail miserably at doing all of the above. Some for lack of time, some because I love crisps, chocolate and wine and the most important of all (sleep) because my kids couldn’t care less about my complexion and God forbid Mummy gets a full night sleep! That is just unheard of around here. So I do the best next thing in order to achieve a fresh glow. I fake it!

Don’t worry I’m not about to go through some complicated and time-consuming make up routine involving millions of products to get that fresh glow. All you need is a good moisturizer, the right foundation and a fantastic light reflecting and subtle bronzer.

Here’s what I do.

Mix a little bit of the foundation with your moisturizer on the back of your hand and apply freely on your face and neck. I like to do it like this because it easier and quicker than applying foundation on top of your moisturizer and also because I don’t want it to look heavy. I just want enough foundation to even my skin tone and leave it looking quite natural rather than painted.

Apply bronzer to cheekbones and then lightly to forehead, nose, chin and neck. This will give you an instant glow. Make sure your bronzer is not too dark for your skin tone.

And that’s it. That’s all I ever do when I want to give my face a fresh glow. You can shop my absolute favourite products below.

What do you think? It’s doable right? Do you have any tips you would like to share too?

Love, P

  1. I love achieving a nice glow without having to put on so much product! It looks so natural and took just a little bit of time!

  2. Such a simple routine, and yet it’s already more than I do – I just slap on some moisturizer and a bit of mascara and go. I should really be a bit more makeup savvy at nearly 35. #stayclassymama

  3. This is what I do apart every day apart from i don’t use moisturiser :/ I feel like this is probably an important part and I should potentially start doing that!? Haha #stayclassymama

  4. I have quite bad skin and suffered for years with adult acne so I really struggle to get that “light” look. But I’ve recently found a new mouse which blurs imperfections and then i can just touch up with a bit of bronzer. So far so good but I definitely don’t look as flawless as this!! #StayClassyMama

  5. That really is quick and simple. I like the mixing foundation and moisturizer. I rarely use makeup but I’ll try that next time. #StayClassyMama
