My 10 favourite things to do in Spring

I don’t know about you but I absolutely love Spring! I love the freshness, the smell, the colours and the warmth. The world seems refreshed and happy. In Porto we have already started to enjoy the first days of warm sunshine and brighter evenings so I thought I would share with you my favourite things to do in Spring.

  1. Go for picnics in the park
  2. Ride a bike
  3. Eat out on the balcony
  4. Go to the beach to watch the sunset with the kids
  5. Fill my house with tulips (my favourite flowers)
  6. Go to the farmers market with the kids
  7. Play on the beach (we can do that whenever it’s not raining but when the weather is warmer it’s much nicer )
  8. Plant fresh herbs
  9. Pick up pretty pebbles and shells from the beach without worrying about getting wet
  10. 1st dip of feet in the sea

What do you think? What are your favourite things to do in Spring with and without the kids? Leave me a comment, would love to hear about it.

Love, P

  1. I love spring too. I feel as if there’s a sign of new hope in every living thing. With the trees budding and the dead silent winter is finally saying sayonara. Of course I like it when the weather is finally getting warmer again. Happy spring P! X

  2. I love spring! We are headed into Autumn on our side of the world. The days are cooling down as we say goodbye to a beautiful long hot summer. I can’t wait for spring flowers, the excitement of longer days and the feeling of hope and new beginnings. Enjoy! ……….Love you blog

  3. I love the optimism that spring brings after the cold, dark, wet winters. I really should live somewhere warmer I hate winter! I love the smell of spring, the sun with some warmth and not having to wear a coat. Also love tulips and walking along the beach. Not warm enough here for toes to be visible yet though! Lovely photos. #bigpinklink

  4. We live by the beach too so my list is very similar to yours 🙂 I absolutely love spring too, it’s by far my favourite season. Maybe because there’s still summer to look forward to after. Once I’m into summer I get a slight hint of a ‘sunday feeling’ knowing that we’re on the countdown to winter! That makes me sound like a bit of a pessimist – I’m not honest – but with spring that sense of everything being fresh and new can’t be beaten. x #bigpinklink

  5. Oh I love Spring – great for getting outside and everything starts to look fresh. I always get itchy feet when spring rolls round, my husband is fed up of moving house so he pacified this with a small holiday instead! Thanks for linking up #PuddingLove

  6. I always love your photos Pat! Your beach looks heavenly and I love picking pebbles on the beach. Actually it’s more like picking stones as Brighton has no sand 😉 Your list is fabulous and makes me miss our balcony from our previous flat, so lovely being able to have a little sit on the balcony as the sun goes down xx #bigpinklink #triballove
