Another Sunday baking day! This time we decided to bake banana and chocolate muffins. The result was messy, chaotic, lots of fun and delicious muffins!
As some of you know, my kids love to ‘help’ around the kitchen so they certainly had a good time mixing, bashing, mashing and filling.
If you decide to give it a go, here is the recipe.
Chocolate and Banana Muffins
Ingredients:
225g self-raising flour
55g cocoa powder
1/2 teaspoon bicarbonate of soda
225g caster sugar
2 ripe bananas, mashed
85g chocolate chips
1 egg, beaten
30g unsalted butter, melted
225ml room temperature milk
Method:
1 – Heat the oven to 190ºC and and line a tin with paper muffin cases.
2 – sift the flour, cocoa powder and bicarbonate of soda together in a bowl. Add the sugar. Make a well in the center and add the banana, chocolate chips, egg, butter and milk. Mix well and pour into the muffin cases.
3 – Bake for 20/30 minutes. Cool on a wire rack.
That’s it! Hope you enjoy making and eating these delicious muffins.
Love, P
