Didn’t Summer go by in a flash? It feels like it was only yesterday we were splashing around in the pool and building sand castles in the lovely Summer sun and now we are back in the daily grind of school and work.
Ok, so Autumn hasn’t started yet but the mornings and evenings are already significantly cooler. I don’t know about you but I am definitely not ready to pack away my Summer clothes just yet so today I will be sharing with you four simple ways you can transition your Summer wardrobe into Autumn stylishly and effortlessly.
4 Stylish ways to Transition your Summer wardrobe into Autumn
Jackets
This one is quite an obvious one I suppose. A great leather or denim jacket and even a great fitting blazer will work with most of your summer outfits and is sure to keep you warm in those chilly mornings and evenings. Changes are you already own one of this wardrobe staples anyway so you won’t even need to spend a penny!

Layers
Layering is a great way to take your favourite Summer pieces into Autumn in style. Just make sure your layers are thin. The last thing you want is to look bulky. Why not try a long sleeve t-shirt under your favourite sleeveless top or summer dress? Turtle neck tops are also great for layering and will keep you nice and warm without compromising on style.

Boots
An easy way to transition a Summer outfit into Autumn is simply by changing the shoes. Just swap your sandals for some gorgeous boots and voila! No more cold or wet feet. My favourite boot styles are either ankle boots or knee high boots. I think they are the most flattering, stylish and go with everything. I prefer them flat or with a short block heel.

Chunky Knitwear
A chunky sweater or cardigan is a great Autumn staple and you can pretty much wear it over any of your summer favourites. Wear it over your favourite maxi dress or skirt and with your denim shorts or skirt. And if you want to elevate your chunky knit look just don’t forget to add some fabulous accessories.

So, what do you think? Easy right? And the best thing of all is your wardrobe probably features most of these great autumnal basics anyway so you will probably won’t need to spend a fortune looking super stylish this Autumn.

Comfy boots and baggy jumpers are my go to for Autumn. I used to love all the lovely dark coloured thick tights too!
It’s definitely boots and layers weather here in Scotland – I’m kind of ready for it, actually! I love me a nice boot. #stayclassymama

Boots and chunky knits are my fave thing about this time of year #stayclassymama
Great ideas. I love a chunky knit but had not thought of teaming them with my favourite summer dresses. #Stayclassymama
I’m all about layers! I don’t seem to have spent much time without my cardie this year though 🙁 #stayclassymama
I am all about the knitwear!! I’m cold throughout the year so I love that I can layer up with chunky knits without getting funny looks! #stayclassymama
